It’s been about 5 years since Max Payne 2 hit the shelves, and since Max Payne the movie, with Mark Wahlberg starring as Max, is coming to theaters later this year, many fans wonder what happened to the 3rd sequel.

Take-Two owns Max Payne rights, but unfortunately, they wouldn’t reveal anything. Take-Two commented how it’s still too early to talk about that title, but they’re working on a couple of interesting things. They also added that they’re not selling anything until the time is right, and we’re wondering if under “the right time” they mean after the movie is out.

Mafia 2 is already announced, but for fiscal 2009. That basically means that 2008 is out of the question, and we’re expecting it sometime in fall 2009.

Bioshock is also officially announced and it’s being developed by the 2K team from Marin Studios. Ken Levine is also in on the project and Bioshock should be out sometime in 2009.
