Huawei getting into the PC business

Just as everyone else is getting out

Huawei is making an interesting move by getting into the PC business just as everyone else has had enough.

The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hell on earth yarn claiming that Huawei’s minions are hard at work on a laptop which will be called the MateBook.

The Chinese newspaper Yicai is fairly certain that the rumours regarding Huawei’s entrance into the PC market are true. It found that the outfit had recently filed a trademark for the name “MateBook” so it is a pretty good bet.

It thinks that the company will debut its new PC or possible line of PCs at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

If the rumours are true it is almost certainly going to be an Intel machine as Huawei has been snuggling up to Chipzilla a lot lately however the rest of the specs, and the price point are a mystery.

Huawei’s MateBook could be a 2-in-1 device. These work nicely with the outfit’s phone manufacturing street cred. It would mean that the device would be a Surface competitor.

Both Huawei and Xiaomi have been trying to get into the PC market which is pretty much tumbleweed at the moment.
