IDF 2013: All-day battery life, apparently

Niel Hand, VP of tablet and performance PC at Dell has just shown off the first Windows 8, 8-inch Dell tablet that is powered by a Bay Trail chip, with LTE support in tow.

Branded Venue, this new product should signal the birth of a new line of Dell products, emphasising extended battery life in powerful companion devices with fast data connectivity that should be on hand at all times, as long as users don’t lose them.

Once again, there is no word on pricing or availability but it is coming. Dell is finally starting to take tablets seriously, and a compact Windows 8 tablet with LTE sounds like a very interesting device for corporate users. Nick said that Dell plans to unveil these devices on its own event on October 2nd. That is the time when we can expect more details about it.
