Works just fine

It has been a quiet few months in the Android tablet market, not too much happening this year. A few weeks back Asus did announce that its TF300 got new firmware that supports Android 4.2.

One of the highest end Android tablets, or detachable if you like, the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T has also got a taste of Android 4.2.2. It is not really a huge upgrade, with a range of minor changes, but the feeling that you have 4.2.2 on your non-Nexus tablet is what counts.

We cannot stress enough how Google botched the Android updates system and today, more than six months after the initial introduction of Android 4.2, Asus tablet users are getting their hands on the latest version.

It would not hurt that much it we were not aware that at Google I/O the company plans to unveil Android 5.0 and tablets such as ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T might not ever get it. In case they do, it will come months after Google's flagship Nexus 10 successor.

If you are the proud owner of ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T, you can get it here or simply check for software update over the air on your tablet.
