ES8000 Smart LED TV, Series 9 notebook and more

Samsung has unleashed some of its 2012 line-up at the South East Asia, Oceania and Taiwan Forum, and the company is obviously keen on some serious integration of its devices, be it mobiles, cameras or TVs.

The company's ES8000 Smart LED TV promises much, as it comes with a really sleek design and very thin bezel. This 55-inch TV should deliver crisp 2D/3D images and has Micro Dimming Ultimate tech, which analyzes the picture in fragments and optimizes the LED backlight and video in realtime. This should result in 20 percent increase in brightness, richer colors and higher contrast ratios, as well as eliminate the halo effect and distortion.

ES8000 Smart LED TV comes with Smart Content for sharing content on the cloud, Smart Interaction commands, Smart Evolution future expansion options and much more. Samsung's ES8000 LED TV will hit the market at the end of March 2012 priced at US$5,134.83 (S$6,499). You can learn more about these particular features here.

Samsung also showed its Series 9 Notebook, for which it claims is the thinnest and most compact laptop around. It is 14.9mm thin and weighs in at 1.59kg.

Thanks to Samsung's MaxScreen  tech, the company could use seriously thin thin bezels and thus strap a 15 inch display onto a 14 inch chassis. It runs on Intel's i7 and Samsung's SSD. The company claims power up time is only 9.8 seconds whereas wake-up time is 1.4. It is expected to hit the market in Q2 2012.
