Lenovo preparing 10.1-inch ICS tablet

by on14 November 2011

With Tegra 3 chip

According to a post over at Engadget, it looks like Asus' Transformer Prime and HTC's rumoured quad-core should get yet a bit more competition, this time from Lenovo. Apparently, Lenovo is working on a new 10.1-inch tablet that packs Nvidia's latest Tegra 3 quad-core chip and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The spec details are vague at this moment, but apart from the Tegra 3 quad-core chip and Ice Cream Sandwich OS, it looks like Lenovo's upcoming tablet will be thinner than the IdeaPad K1 and LePad and that it feature a "Special Fusion-Skin Body". The rest of the known specs include 2GB of DDR3-1600 memory, standard USB port, backside cam with flash and a fingerprint scanner that doubles as an optical joystick on the backside.

The device looks like it could be a bit more business oriented and we must confess that we rather like the brushed aluminum look of the backside but, of course, we'll wait for more details regarding before making our final judgement.
