Intel to unveil bunch of tablets at Computex

Intel is planning to showcase more than 10 tablets at the upcoming Computex trade show in late May.

The tablets are based on Intel’s Oak Trail processors and several major vendors are expected to embrace the new platform.

Intel is seeking to take on ARM in the increasingly lucrative tablet market. However, it is still unclear what we could expect from the new tablets. Unlike ARM-based tablets, they will be x86 compatible and able to run Windows, but they will probably end up chunkier and somewhat more expensive.

Since most tablets, including ARM-based ones are already overpriced, this doesn’t sound like a very good idea.
