To be ready for 2H of 2011

Engadget managed to snag some details regarding HP's webOS tablets, the 9-inch device, codename Topaz and the the 7-inch Opal sibling. For now, Engadget got renderings of the device as well as some details regarding the launch dates.

As far as it can be seen from the renderings, the device looks pretty good as it features a rather nice looking sleek and clean design with round edges. As far as the specs go, it has a micro USB port, front-facing camera, three speaker layout so you get a nice stereo in both portrait and landscape mode, as well as info that it will feature unspecified 1.2GHz processor.

Both the Topaz and the Opal will have pretty much the same specs except for the fact that the Opal (a smaller one) will be focused on e-reading. The actual devices should arrive in Palm HQ in June 2011 while the Engadget tipster also noted that the 9-inch Topaz one should come before Opal.

In any case, HP/Palm will probably shed more details during its webOS press event on February 9th, so we might get more info.

More here.
