If you are into gaming and into Core i7 laptops MSI will have something new for you, Sandy Bridge flavoured.

We got some information about 2011 models and we can tell you that the company is working on at least three new designs. They are all 15.6-inch notebooks with 1920x1080 screens and pack a high-end Core i7 2630QM CPU.

This processor has four cores and a 2.2GHz default clock, but it should be able to overclock further. Its four cores support eight threads and the CPU has 512KB L2 cache and 6MB of L3 cache. The CPU comes with Intel HD integrated graphics but MSI notebook also packs Geforce GTX 460M notebook graphics with 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory and an HD capable webcam. Let’s not forget that the CPU has a 45W TDP which is quite good for a quad-core packed with a graphics core.

This is not all as the notebook comes with 4GB of memory and up two hard drives with 500GB each. It also has a Bluray drive and nine-cell battery.

The top end system branded as GT680R comes with Win 7 Ultimate and Assassin’s Creed II, gaming mouse, gaming bag and it will be available in black - black or gray black colour options.

We don’t know the launch date but it should not be too long after New Year's.
