Apple fad
The maker of expensive printer ink, HP has made much of its Slate, officially.

The outfit announced that demand for its device had "exceeded expectations" in the past. However UberGizmo claims that is all a smokescreen.

HP only planned to build 5,000 of the beasts and ended up having up with creating 9,000 units because demand exceeded supply. Now 9,000 units is sod all when you consider that Jobs' Mob is flogging 46,555 iPads that Apple sold each day during the previous quarter.

HP only offers its Slate only to business customers so that might be the reason for the low optimism.
