Dell has a crisis in its delivery department with delays for its Inspiron and Latitude laptops getting longer and longer. Now the latest problem is that customers are facing cancelled orders.

Dell's digital media manager, Lionel Menchaca, said that one reason their purchases had been cancelled was because of Federal Trade Commission rules involving mail order sales when they have been delayed more than once.

However buyers are fuming that some of them have seen their orders had been canceled without any prior notification. According to ComputerWorld, Dell has acknowledged that the delays applied to the XPS M1330, Inspiron and Latitude notebooks, and some of its Vostro products.

Customers, many of whom will have to start university without a laptop, have noted that most of them had a shipping date of August 28 which was physically impossible.
