Peace loving hackers

The United Nations website was hacked yesterday by a group of hackers, believed to be from Turkey.

The group defaced the pages reserved for statements from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. A message stating that the attack was a "cyberprotest" was left on the hacked page, blaming the US and Israel for war and calling for for peace on earth.

In several previous attacks, the hackers, calling themselves "kerem125", "Gsy" and "M0sted", claimed that they were from Turkey. The attack was spotted by an Italian software developer and you can get his take on the security lapse on hackademix.net, here.
