Sony launches ATRAC free music player
SonicStage dies as well
Sony has finally released what can only be refered to as a standard MP3 player and Sony has canned ATRAC support for the first time in one of its Network Walkmans.
The NWD-B100 series will be available in 1 and 2 GB capacities and will feature a 3 line colour LCD display and models with a built in FM tuner will also be available.
Sony claims up to 12h battery life and the new Network Walkman will play MP3 and WMA files only.
The really good news are that Sony has canned the much loathed SonicStage software which has been the bane of anyone that own a Sony Network Walkman.
