Topco Scientific says it is making progress on its production of solar-LED street lamps, and anticipates shipment to start in Q4 of 2007, according to a Chinese-language Apple Daily report.

The report cited investors stating that shipments for solar-LED street lamps will begin soon. Estimated retail for each environmentally friendly LED street lamp is estimated at US$1,000, which should result in substantial sales and revenue for the new company.

Topco Scientific is also reported to be considering future production of solar-LED street lamps with built-in surveillance cameras, according to the same Apple Daily report.
