Bad Company 2 to get Limited Edition

News comes from DICE today that the next chapter in the Battlefield franchise, which is known as Battlefield: Bad Company 2, will be available in a Limited Edition version as well as the regular standard version when it arrives on March 5th, 2010.

The Limited Edition of Bad company 2 will add six special unlocks that will give players a leg up from the moment that they start playing the game. Players getting the Limited Edition will get four vehicle unlocks allowing for vehicle upgrades. The tracer dart will also be unlocked, which allows players to attach the dart on a target and allow teammates to take out the tracer tagged target with an RPG. Those Battlefield 1943 veterans will also be getting the M1A1 submachine gun and the M1911 pistol, which are classic high-powered weapons from Battlefield 1943.

In a break from tradition, the Limited Edition version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be priced the same as the regular version, but will only be available for a limited time. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms when it arrives on March 2nd, 2010 in North America. Players in Europe will have to wait till March 5th, 2010. Early previews of Bad Company 2 have been pretty good and the momentum is making it the first highly anticipated FPS game of 2010.
