ATI graphics and ION mixed up with Atom

There seems to have been some slight confusion from MSI's side in terms of how many new models of All-in-One systems they introduced yesterday, as one of the models in the press release wasn't actually on display and one of the models on display, wasn't in the press release.

The first (two?) model(s) consist of the 20-inch AE2000 (and according to the press release, the AE2010), which we have to apologise for the terrible picture we took of, which features a single core Intel Atom 230 processor, the 945GC chipset, but interestingly, also an ATI Radeon HD4350 graphics card, which wasn't mentioned in the official press release. The AE2000 also comes with 1GB of DDR2 memory which can be expanded to 2GB, a native screen resolution of 1,600x900 (yes, this is a terrible 16:9 resolution), a 160GB 3.5-inch hard drive, a built in optical drive, a memory card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 1.3Megapixel webcam and eSATA.

Next up we have the AE2201, which was no-where to be found in the press release, yet it was there right in front of us. What makes this so interesting is that it's MSI's first ION system, although, yet again you get that single core Atom 230 processor. This system has a 21.6-inch display with a native resolution of 1,920x,1,080, comes with 2GB of RAM which can be upgraded to 4GB, a 320GB 3.5-inch SATA hard drive, an optical drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 1.3Megapixel webcam and we presume this model also feature eSATA and a memory card reader, although there was no mention of it in the specs.

Finally we have the AE2200 which features a Core 2 Duo E5400 processor, Intel's G45 chipset with integrated X4500HD graphics or an optional graphics module via an MXM slot, although MSI didn't specify which options it will ship with. Again this system has a 21.6-inch display with 1,920x1,080 resolution, 2GB of DDR2 memory which can be upgraded to 4GB, a 320GB 3.5-inch SATA hard drive, an optical drive, a memory card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 1.3Megapixel webcam and an optional internal TV-tuner. This system also features both eSATA and interestingly enough, a D-sub and HDMI connector as well as optical S/PDIF out, so you could use this as your home entertainment PC and hook it up to your TV.

Of course, all models feature touch screen technology, but we're not sure how popular this feature will be and the AE220x systems come with a compact, if rather ugly blister-type remote control. No pricing or availability dates were announced.
