Asus R.O.G. 850W and 1000W

Asus has launched two power supply units as part of its new G series. Both of them proudly sport the Republic of Gamers label and
80 PLUS certification.

The new G Series G-1000HA features no less than five +12V rails with a total of 100Amps, while the G-850HA or the 850W model comes with four +12V rails with 80Amps. Both are 80 PLUS certified with up to 86% of power efficiency, they come with active PFC and use Japanese capacitors.

The 1000W model comes with six peripheral connectors, one floppy, eight SATA, one 4+4-pin and six 6+2-pin PCI Express connectors. The 850W is pretty much the same but it lacks two PCI-Express and two peripheral connectors, due to the lack of that fifth +12V rail. Both models are cooled by a 135mm bottom placed fan with Asus' Q Fan control which spins the fan faster or slower depending on the temperature.

Unfortunately, as it is always the case with Asus' product launches, the release date and the price are unknown.
