US extends Huawei's temporary licence

But Huawei says US itself suffers

The US Commerce Department said that it has granted a 90 day extension of its temporary general licence which will extend until February 16th next year.

Huawei said in a prepared statement that the extension won't have an impact on its business for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer.

The company maintains that it continues to be treated unfairly.

It also said that adding Huawei to the US Entity List causes more harm to US interests than it does to the Chinese giant.

Huawei said: “This has done significant economic harm to the American companies with which Huawei does business, and has already disrupted collaboration and undermined the mutual trust on which the global supply chain depends. We call on the US government to put an end to this unjust treatment and remove Huawei from the Entity List.”
