Now targeting games and comics

China's Ministry of Culture has blacklisted several online games for featuring pornographic content. The move is a part of China's porn crackdown announced a few weeks ago, and the announcement comes days after China announced it has closed 1,250 porn sites.

Now it seems censors have shifted their focus to online games, and one of the first ones to go is "Red Light Center", a game which features virtual sex and use of virtual drugs. The game website, as well as the website of its Vancouver-based developer, Utherverse, seems to have been blocked.

The Ministry demands developers stop using sexually provocative images and language to promote their products, claiming it will "target these illegal doings". It has also vowed to strengthen its stance on online games, mobile games and even online comics to "build a cleaner online environment" for the country's youth.
