Android KitKat gains over four points in June

Jelly Bean still on over 56 percent of devices

Google has released its latest Android distribution report for June and according to details it appears that Android 4.4 KitKat continues its trend in gaining the Android marketshare.

The Android 4.4 KitKat OS has gained 4.1 points in the past month of June and is now on 17.9 percent of devices. As it was in earlier months, Android 4.4 KitKat is growing on teh expense on older versions of the Android OS while the Jelly Bean still holds its ground.

The Android Jelly Bean OS still holds a major share with 56.5 percent and has actually grew by 0.6 points when compared to May.

The share of the Android 2.2 Foyo and 2.3 Gingerbread is steadily dropping and now hold 14.2 percent of Android devices.
