Two big and two small notebooks

Notebook Italia has scored some very detailed information as well as pictures of Samsung's upcoming Centrino 2 lineup and it looks like we're in for a treat here, as the company has a 12.1, 13.3, 15.4 and 17in model in its new lineup.

We're not going to try to cover all the details here, just the important bits, as there's too much information to cover in a sensible way. First up we have the Eclipse Q210 and Q310, both have a similar design with the only physical difference being the larger display in the Q310 which also adds a few centimeters to its size compared to the Q210.

The Q210 will have a Core 2 Duo P8400 CPU at 2.26GHz, while the Q310 will have a P8600 at 2.4GHz, both have 3MB L2 cache and works on a 1,066MHz bus. Both models will either use Intel's integrated X4500 graphics or a discrete Nvidia Geforce 9200M GS graphics card with 256MB of memory. Other features include up to 4GB of DDR2 800MHz memory, up to 320GB hard drive, a built in optical drive, HDMI, ExpressCard 34 slot, Bluetooth and various WiFi options including draft-n support.

The 15.4in model will be known as the Aura R510 which is more a budget machine compared to the Eclipse range, but it still  comes with a decent feature set. It will use an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor clocked at 2.53GHz with 6MB L2 cache on a 1.066MHz bus and a 35W TDP, although it will only come with integrated Intel X4500 graphics. It will also have up to 4GB of DDR2 800MHz memory and pretty much the same features as the previous two models with the addition of an ExpressCard 54 slot over the slimmer 34 slot.

Finally we have the Eclipse R710 which is a 17in monster which offers a screen resolution of 1,920x1,200 and it will be powered by a Core 2 Duo P9500 processor clocked at 2.53GHz with 6MB L2 cache and a 25W TDP. Graphics power will come from either a Geforce 9300M GS or a Geforce 9600M GT with 512MB of memory. The rest of the features are similar to the other models.

All four notebooks are expected sometime in September and no pricing information was revealed.
