Mike Magee launches supply chain site

Aims to inject zest into UK channel

Industry veteran Mike Magee has launched a new tech site, designed to inform, educate and entertain the supply channel in the United Kingdom. As usual, Nick Farrell will take be in charge of entertainment.

For those new to the tech scene, Magee founded the Register and the Inquirer, but most of you probably knew that already. ChannelEye is his latest adventure and the site should deliver hard hitting news, interviews and comment. The site is welcome addition to the IDG Tech Network and IDG exec Jonny Busse believes it will provide IDG UK with a strong presence in the marketplace.

Magee said his ultimate goal is to consign stuffy, old fashioned channel magazines to the dustbin of history.

“The supply chain continues to be essential to deliver vendors’ offerings to end users.  We will break the mould and deliver essential information to the key players in the market,” said Magee.

Needless to say, ChannelEye will avoid recycled press releases, marketing business jargon and it will aim to deliver gritty and realistic reports. We always like to wish ex-Inqsters good luck with their new projects, even when they poach our guys.

You can check it out at Chanelleye.co.uk.
