Spending a billion


IBM says that it is investing more than a billion dollars to work out ways to make corporate computing centres more energy efficient.

In a press release, IBM says that it will reoutfit the "data centres" it operates and help its customers redo their own with multiple power-saving approaches.

While the move will save it money in the long term, IBM sais the move is part of being a greener company.
