Chinese hackers hijacked satellite TV signals in Southern China and used it to broadcast anti-government messages.

TV screens went blank for nearly two hours or showed anti-government messages for 30 to 40 seconds Tuesday evening.

Shanghai-based Xinmin Evening News did not say what the content was about.  The official line was that the TV station experienced some difficulties with its reception.

Previous cases of jammed satellite signals in China have been blamed on the spiritual group Falun Gong. The group has denied this saying that it doesn't have the technological expertise to launch such attacks.
