Violation of company policy the cause

Stuart Scott is now the former CIO at Microsoft after getting his walking papers on Tuesday. All we have been able to find out is that he was axed for a “violation of company policy.” No one seems to be talking openly as to exactly what the violation was.

Scott was the CIO at General Electric before leaving GE to join Microsoft, at what many might call the IT dream job. Some have suggested that his departure may have had to do with his consolidation of power within the Microsoft IT organization.

Microsoft has yet to name a successor, but we are sure that the search will start soon. All those interested in the CIO job at Microsoft should dust off their resumes and get them to HR in Redmond, Washington pronto.
