Why is mmWave crucial for Multi Gbps speeds
A few months back Fudzilla reported about a 5G reference design of the phone with three mmWave antenna openings, and today, Qualcomm announced the new design with four antennas at half the size. Nick covered this part well, but we wanted to add some additional information about this important step in the development of 5G.

AT&T has announced a plan to spend $1.6 billion to Straight Path Communications in an all-stock deal aimed at bulking up the carrier’s portfolio of millimeter wave spectrum. As you can imagine, you will need these bands for the 5G millimeter waves.
