Overclocking beast

Powercolor has announced yet another factory overclocked card based on the Radeon HD 5770 GPU, the PCS++ HD 5770. The card features the same dual-slot Arctic Cooling cooler seen on the PCS+ version but has higher factory overclock and much higher overclocking potential.

The new PCS++ HD 5770 works at 875MHz for the GPU and the 1GB of GDDR5 memory ended up overclocked to 5000MHz. Just for comparison, the reference card ticks at 800MHz for the GPU and 4800MHz for memory. According to Powercolor, the card should happily overclock all the way to 950MHz for the GPU.

The card still packs the same 800 Stream processors, and comes with dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. It has support for DirectX 11, ATI CrossfireX and Eyefinity and comes bundled with Dirt 2 game.

Unfortunately, the card is still not listed but we guess that it could end up at around €150, a bit more than the PCS+ version.
