Might get released in other markets at some point

In a surprise offering out of nowhere, Ubisoft is going to drop a revamped edition of Assassin’s Creed II that is called the “Complete Edition” that will hit retailer shelves in the U.K. on June 4th. It seems to be a bit more than your standard GOTY edition.

Instead, the Complete Edition adds limited edition and downloadable content and a reduced price tag to lure buyers who didn’t pick it up the first time around into getting it this time. According to what we have been able to discover, it will include the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities, which were previously released as downloadable add-ons; as well as the secret Templar locations that only came with the limited edition version of the game.

While no official announcement has been made yet, we suspect that we will hear it will be offered in other markets as well, at some point. While Ubisoft has not tipped its hand on when this might be, a mole we know suspects a release for the North American market in either late June or mid-July, but claims that it has not yet been decided at the Ubisoft HQ.
