AMD to let more people go

Few details

AMD is reorganizing and we've learned that this might mean that more people will have to say goodbye to this chip company. The Q4 2008 scores will likely be worse than Q3 2008, and some more people will have to go.

AMD needs to cut costs, but with Deneb, Propus quad-cores, Heka and Rana tri-cores and Regor dual-cores that are scheduled to show up in 2009, the company has much better chances.

At this point no one can predict the real recovery of the global economy, and this will most certainly affect AMD, along with the rest of IT.
