Bella machina €86

We talked
about upcoming Kumas yesterday, and we tried to dig out some prices and availability dates. We didn't find everything we were hoping for, but at least we've got some additional info on AMD's new dual-cores.

An Italian retailer is currently listing the Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition 2.7GHz box for €86 inc. VAT. Considering this is the fastest Kuma so far, and that this is an early price, probably a tad higher than the MSRP, we can say that it looks like a rather good deal. The only currently available Kuma, the 2.3GHz Athlon X2 6500, costs €99.

Taking a peek outside of Euroland, a British retailer is listing the same CPU for 77 quid, while a U.S. store is listing it at $93. Some retailers are expecting to have it in stock on the 14th, some a few days later.

The pricing seems fairly reasonable, even better than originally expected. Note that this is the fastest Kuma planned for mid-December launch. The 2.5GHz Athlon X2 7550 and the Athlon X2 7450 at 2.4GHz should end up quite a bit cheaper, but we still haven't found any prices for these parts. If you stumble upon some listings, please let us know.
