Overclocked version in the works

Point of View has announced its 8800 GTS 512MB based on the G92 core. One of the cards will work at reference clocks, while the other one will be called Geforce 8800 GTS 512MB Exo Edition and it will be overclocked out of the box.

The first one will work at the reference 650MHz for the core and it will use 512MB of 1.0ns GDDR3 memory clocked at 1940MHz. Shaders on this card are reference clocked at 1625MHz. As with every other partner so far, Point of View has also opted for the reference dual slot cooling design.

The second one, branded Geforce 8800 GTS 512MB Exo Edition, is a bit more interesting, as it comes with a factory overclock. The core on this card is working at 700MHz, Shaders got boosted to 1750MHz, while the memory clocks are pushed to 2000MHz. If this sounds high, you should check out our review of MSI's overclocked 8800 GTS, which is currently the highest factory overclocked 8800 GTS 512MB card.

The two new cards from Point of View are available today and they will be bundled with MotoGP '07 or Settlers VI: Rise of an Empire game, depending on location.
