Still only 128-bit memory interface

AMD has very quietly launched its latest mobile GPU, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2700, and it doesn't even look as if the company has put out a press release about it. This time it as if AMD has pulled an Nvidia trick and launched a slightly faster part using the same internal workings, much like the Geforce 8600M and the 8700M.

The Mobility Radeon HD 2700 has the same transistor count and is made using the same 65nm process as the Mobility Radeon HD 2600 series, and thus is held back by the same 128-bit memory interface. Oddly enough, it only features 120 stream processors, just as the Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT.

To be honest, we can't find a single thing that differentiates the two spec pages at AMD's Website, but we can only guess that the difference between the two is that the Mobility Radeon HD 2700 is clocked higher than the Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT.
