Factory overclocked

Powercolor has launched three versions of Radeon HD 3850 series cards, a plain one with reference clocks and cooling, a factory overclocked card with PCS cooling and a special factory overclocked card with native HDMI.

The first one has reference clocks, 668MHz for the core and 828MHz for 256MB of GDDR3 with 256bit memory controller. This card also uses reference cooling design with Powercolor sticker and a small logo on the fan. Next in line is a representative of Powercolor's new professional cooling system series and it comes factory overclocked to 720 MHz for the core, and 900MHz for 512MB of GDDR3 memory. As the entire series, this card also has a 256bit memory controller.

The last one is probably the most interesting one, branded HD 3850 Xtreme PCS. This card uses the same PCS cooling, which comes from Zerotherm. The card comes overclocked like the previous PCS version, 720MHz for the core and 900MHz for 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The special thing on this card is that it has on-board HDMI interface, or so-called native HDMI, so you don't need to use a DVI/HDMI dongle. You will be able to read about Powercolor's native HDMI HD 3850 soon, so be sure to keep your eye on our site.
