Sid Meier’s Civilization series is set to get a new installment and the E3 trailer has some interesting goodies for you to see.

In between the talks on various aspects of game development, you’ll see snippets of in-game experience and how the game utilizes the hex grid. It looks really promising and the visuals are excellent, although you probably might want to upgrade your graphics card by the time it arrives.

Furthermore, the developers have been looking for ways to make the game much more “moddable”, even to more inexperienced users, and they plan to bring this feature to forefront of the series.
