Rockstar is working on the issues

Now that
Red Dead Redemption has been released to much acclaim and players are digging into the game, reports are starting to trickle in about a variety of glitches, or bugs, if you will, that are causing problems with the game. From what we hear, neither the Xbox 360 nor Playstation 3 owners are immune to these issues.

While we already told you about the problems with the local LAN play and the redemption of pre-order codes that are not working, the latest issues are a bit more troubling. Apparently, mostly in the multiplayer modes, things just disappear. That’s right, horses go invisible as well as guns, and even your hero might disappear during game play.

According to the latest we are hearing from Rockstar, they are pleased with the reception that the game has received and they are aware of the issues and are working hard to address them as quickly as possible. While currently they don’t have an actual timetable as to when a patch might be ready to deal with these issues, they want to fix them as soon as possible.

Clips are showing up all over the Internet of disappearing acts that are causing all kinds of havoc. While these videos might be fun to watch, it does make the game harder and more difficult to enjoy playing. It is understandable that a game of this scale can have some bugs at release, but Rockstar is going to be judged heavily on how quickly they are able to respond and address these issues.

Sales and popularity of the title could slip quickly if players have to wait too long for a patch to address the issues. Insiders tell us that they expect the patch to arrive quickly, but right now it does not seem that anyone knows yet how quickly the patch will arrive.
