Mac Beta targeted for an April start

Blizzard wants to make sure that Mac users know that the company is still fully committed to a Mac version of StarCraft 2, and despite the fact that the PC version is already in beta, development continues on the Mac version of the game as well. Currently, the company is targeting an April release for the Mac version of the StarCraft 2 beta, but that date could be subject to change.

Blizzard has been committed to the Mac platform and the company has normally offered a Mac version of their titles right alongside the PC releases. While many Mac users have complained about the wait, as the PC beta has already been going for some time, our sources claim that the projected April time frame for the Mac beta is accurate.

The current beta cycle is said to be on track to end in the late spring and it is still expected that StarCraft 2 will arrive at some point before the end of the year, according to our sources.
