Cerberus Network seems a bit congested

It would appear that someone over at BioWare had better get out the plunger and deal with some of the network congestion that appears to be plaguing the Cerberus Network. Mass Effect 2 owners are flooding the Internet with reports that the in-game content delivery system just isn’t working, and could be a lot more trouble than it is worth.

With the release of any game the size of Mass Effect 2 there are bound to be some bumps in the road, otherwise known as glitches. From what we are hearing, download access codes are not working for many, while others can’t seem to get connected at all.

It also seems that the special armors in the game do not allow for the removal of the helmets. It seems that the lack of this feature has also gotten a lot of attention, with threads in the forums calling for the termination of the developer that made the decision not to allow for the removal of the helmet. The discussion in many cases has become a bit heated.

While BioWare has acknowledged that there are some issues (such as some of the codes that have been given out have not been associated to the system as valid yet), the company is working on the issues. In the meantime, they have produced some hints to help those having problems. We have to suggest that you have a look at the BioWare forums for Mass Effect 2, as right now the majority of the best help available is there. We have to think that it might take a couple of days, but we are sure that BioWare will get this sorted out quickly.
