Not as exclusive as everyone thought

Since the announcement at CES by Microsoft that the Xbox 360 would be getting exclusive downloadable content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, many have pondered exactly what kind of exclusive Microsoft was able to secure. The answer really isn’t that stunning; it is nothing more than a time exclusive.

Basically from what we have learned, the Xbox 360 will have a 30-day window for the Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content packs. While we assume that you will have to pay for the downloadable content packs, you will be able to play them for 30 days after you buy them, assuming that you buy them on release day until they are released for PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.

Beyond knowing that the new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will arrive this spring, next to nothing is known about exactly what kind of content you can expect. What we do know now is that as suspected, all three platforms will be able to get the content, but Xbox 360 owners will have access to it first.
