For those fans of id Software, the company has announced that its annual QuakeCon event will take place in Dallas, Texas on August 12th to the 15th. One of the largest LAN part events will be again held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel with admission again at no charge.

It is suspected that this years QuakeCon event will have a large focus on the upcoming release of id Software’s new project Rage which has been in development for some time. Details concerning sponsors and registration should be coming into focus over the next several weeks.
