So much for iTunes

People spend more time on Microsoft's website than Apple's despite the fact that iTunes should keep fanboys browsing for days. New data from Nielsen Online shows that the most visited site in the world is Google with 155,683,000 unique visitors.

Microsoft had more unique visitors (135,876,000) in December 2009 than Apple (63,825,000), and those people averaged over two hours there compared to Apple's visitors (1.5 hours).

More than 63.8 million home and work Internet users visited at least one of the Apple-owned sites, and each person spent, on average, a total of 1 hour, 27 minutes and 45 seconds at one or more of their sites.

While there was less hits at Facebook its 109,905,000 visitors spent six and a half hours on the social notworking site.

Of course Apple fanboys could argue that you need to spend more time on the Microsoft site because it is hard to navigate or you are looking for countless security fixes, but we think it is probably the huge amount of Microsoft software out there.
