Lunar Lake for mobiles coming as well

During its CES 2024 presentation, Intel's EVP and GM of client computing group (CCG), Michelle Johnston Holthaus, briefly discussed the next generation Arrow Lake for desktops and Lunar Lake for laptop chips and confirmed they are launching in 2024.

Showing off the Lunar Lake chip to the crowd at the CES 2024 show, Holthaus confirmed that both Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake are in their final stages. Lunar Lake combines both the Compute and Graphics tiles in a single tile and includes on-package LPDDR5x memory. Intel Lunar Lake will bring up to 3x faster NPU and confirms that notebooks based on Lunar Lake will be launching this year as the chips are already shipping to Intel partners.

When it comes to Arrow Lake, Intel did not shed a lot of details, other than it will launch this year and be Intel's first desktop gaming processor with AI capabilities. According to earlier information, we do know it will include new Lion Cove P-cores and Skymont E-cores, which should bring significant IPC uplift. It will also include Arc Xe-LPG integrated graphics and AI NPU capabilities. Arrow Lake will launch a new LGA1851 socket later this year.
