Intel doesn’t rest at least when it comes to new Atom CPUs. It has announced that it will start shipping N470, N475 and N455 netbook Atoms in Q2 2010 and now it is ready to reveal faster desktop Atom CPUs. The N475 and N455 will support DDR3 memory.

Atom D510 is a dual core with 1.66GHz frequency that is shipping for a quarter now and already in Q2 2010 Intel plans a new 1.80GHz Atom D525.

The news is that the D525 now supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory, something that OEMs wanted, and apart of the 140 MHz speed jump the rest of the spec looks quite similar. The old Atom D510 has 13W TDP and the new 1.8GHz clocked D525 has the same TDP, 13W.

Naturally you can expect the single core version as well as the new platform to host the DDR3 capable CPU. Launch date expected sometime in Q2, 2010 from today till July 1st.
