Within three months

In a move that closely followed Intel's Xeon 5500, Nehalem EP announcement, AMD announced that its "very low-consumption" Shanghai processors are coming within three months. The new quad-core Opteron EE chips should perform similarly but at the same time consume much less.

These chips codenamed Shanghai, will be manufactured in 45nm and should be available in the following three months.

AMD of course didn’t miss a chance to gloat over the fact that Intel integrated memory controllers on the CPU only now, whereas AMD did it back in 2003. AMD’s product marketing director in server and workstation division, Margaret Lewis said that they’re pleased to see their competitor use it, but we somehow doubt they are.
