Dragon is set to launch at CES 2009 that takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada from 8th of January, and at this time Phenom II and the rest of the platform will officially launch. At a later date AMD will introduce the AM3 platform and DDR3 memory support for Dragon, and this platform consists of AMD's 790GX/FX chipset and Radeon HD 4800 series cards.

By the end of 2009, AMD plans a new platform simply codenamed Leo (lat. Lion) and the head of this platform will remain 45nm Stars cores with Deneb as a leader. The chipset will get upgraded to RD890, RS880D with SB800 and more importantly, new graphics.

We don’t have many details but we suspect this is not simply a 40nm shrink scheduled for Q2 2009 and that this next generation graphics has DirectX 11 support. This platform will lead AMD through 2010 and will be the one for Windows 7.
