If IT survives

AMD has a nice plan to bring three different generations of Business CPUs based on the new K10.5, 45nm manufacturing process and this is set to happen in Q3 2009.

The fastest of them all will be the Phenom II X4 quad-core B90 series that will simply be a Deneb in disguise. It will launch as B93 and B91 with clocks below 3GHz, but at level that should be enough for a business users. These CPUs will get on top of Phenom X4 9850B, 9750B and 96000B.

The runner up is Phenom II X3, three-core, again a member of K10.5 45nm family codenamed Rana, with a total of 7.5 MB cache. Each of the three cores has 512KB of L2 cache, while the rest of the CPU interconnects with remaining 5.5MB L3 cache. These CPUs will be known as B70 series and you can again expect two SKUs B73 and B71. This CPU is planned to top Phenom X3 8850B, 8750B and finally 8600B three cores.

Last in line is the beloved dual-core that will ended up branded as Athlon X2 B20 series. There will be two SKUs, B22 and B21, and these CPUs are set to top the performance of Athlon X2 5600B, 5400B, 5200B, 5000B, 4850B and finally 4450B.
