Now who saw that coming?

According to
iSuppli research, Intel has increased its lead over AMD in Q3.

With an 80.4 percent market share, Intel is dominant and the growth trend doesn't seem to be letting up. In Q3 2007 Intel held a 78.7 share and in Q2 2008 it held an 80.1 percent share.

AMD, on the other hand, is stagnating, growing just 0.1 percent over Q2 2008, but year to year AMD is down from 13.9 percent to 12.1 percent.

Although there are reports demand is falling, iSuppli claims the market is still going strong, reporting total shipment growth over Q3 2007 in the region of 12 to 14 percent.
