AMD and VIA not welcome

Intel has
bought netbook.com, and it's obviously going to turn it into a netbook portal of sorts.

This is not a bad idea, if you're not AMD or VIA. We don't think they'll be thrilled by the new site, as it will obviously focus on Atom-based machines. Then again, AMD still doesn't have a netbook platform, so they don't really have much to complain about.

There's very little content on the site at the moment, barely enough to call it a site, in fact. However, netbook aficionados have displayed a fairly strong herding instinct and have already created massive communities which are proving to be quite a valuable asset for new netbook users.

Check it out here. (redirected to intel.com)
