Samsung Galaxy A7 in the US shops

The Samsung Galaxy A7, which was launched early this year, is now in US shops.

Amazon US has the smartphone listed for $442 SIM-free and unlocked variant and there is free shipping on it.

The Galaxy A7 is showing in its full metal clad glory and has already started receiving Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS update in various parts of the world. Out of the box it runs KitKat.

The key feature of the phone appears to be its fixed battery 2600mAh Li-Ion battery. The battery can manage 17 hours chatting on 3G and claimed music playback time of up to 54 hours.

Now it is out we can see the other specs.

It comes with a 5.5in Super AMOLED display enclosed within Gorilla Glass 4. Under the bonnet is an LTE/3G Dual-SIM: MSM8x39 (Quad A53 1.5GHz + Quad A53 1.0GHz), LTE Single-SIM: Exynos 5430 + M7450 (Quad A15 1.8GHz + Quad A7 1.3GHz). It has 4G LTE, HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 2.0 and microUSB connectivity.

The primary camera is 13MP primary camera and there is a 5 MP secondary camera.
It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with the MicroSD card slot for expansion of internal storage up to 64GB
