Galaxy S III sales hit 20 million in 100 days

by on06 September 2012

Europe leads the way

Samsung has managed to shift more than 20 million Galaxy S III phones in the first 100 days of sales.

Samsung’s new flagship seems to be doing quite well in Europe, with sales hitting six million. Asia trails with 4.5 million and Apple loving Americans snapped up 4 million units. Samsung also did very well in South Korea, with sales hitting 2.5 million units, which is pretty impressive for a country of 50 million.

With such sales figures in mind, paying a billion bucks for a bunch of ripped off icons doesn’t seem like a bad deal.

However, although it’s all been smooth sailing for Sammy so far, the new iPhone is just weeks away and Windows Phone 8 is also just around the corner. Android fundamentalists are waiting for new Nexus devices, which could come in a few flavours this year.
