HTC still silent

According to a post over at The Inq, it appears that HTC's Desire HD will be stuck with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will not be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update.

Although it took part in HTC's device ICS upgrade list, the Desire HD apparently will not be getting the update due to poor device performance during testing. The unfortunate news came from a mobile network Telus document.

The HTC Desire HD is not a bad or underpowered device at all, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon QSD8255 1GHz CPU, Adreno 205 GPU and 768MB of RAM, all placed behind a 4.3-inch 480x800 LCD screen, are apparently not enough to keep the ICS running as fast as HTC wants it to.

Strangely enough, HTC is still silent and has neither confirmed nor denied the fate of the Desire HD, but we guess it will, sooner or later.
